My husband and I have been given so much support in our first few years as parents from our family and friends, but also from people we’ve never met. Our daughter has had countless doctor’s appointments, along with outpatient treatments and inpatient surgery. Anytime your child has to spend time in a hospital, it is an experience filled with fear and anxiety. We know what that’s like and whenever we can, we offer support to families in unfortunate situations.
I am so blessed to have the opportunity to support the Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation (CCRF) for the second year by participating in a Cuddle Bear Book Drive. CCRF is a fantastic organization that works to improve the mental, social and emotional well-being of children with cancer, along with their families. One of the MANY incredible things they do is deliver gifts to thousands of children undergoing cancer treatments in hospitals across the United States. My goal is to provide them with as many Cuddle Bear Book & Plush sets as possible for this amazing cause!
The Cuddle Bear set includes an adorable storybook and a matching plush teddy bear, making it a perfect gift for a little one that is sick and in the hospital all the time. Giving to this cause is a pure act of kindness and generosity to show these kids some love. The really cool thing is that my company is matching the sales by 50%, so for every two sets donated, Usborne will donate a 3rd one to these amazing children for FREE! That means if I can collect 20 donated sets, another 10 will be added to that! How awesome is that?!?! Last year my team donated 601 Cuddle Bear Sets and this year we’re hoping to double that number! Donating one set is just $24.99 and it puts a priceless smile on a child’s face.
