The Kuromori Chronicles (Ages 14+)
Harry Potter and Anime fans often love this fast-paced mystical adventure series. From the very first page, readers are thrust directly into the action with Kenny Blackwood as he tries to figure out what is going on with terrifying beasts only he can see. It gets even better and more intriguing as you read on! Book one “The Sword of Kuromori” dips into a whole area of Japanese mythology that we don’t often see discussed in books. It even contains bits of Japanese language (with a glossary) which really adds a cool dynamic! The three books in this series should be read in order.
